Eligibility

To be eligible for this program and its resources, you must be a homeless individual or imminently at risk of homelessness from age 15 to 22

How to enroll

Please arrive during drop-in center hours between 8:30 AM and 7:30 PM. A specialist will assist you in completing the intake process and center orientation. For more information, contact 801-364-0744 ext. 707

Hours of operation

Daily intake hours are restricted to 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. We provide services to enrolled clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Volunteers of America, Utah's Youth Resource Center is a drop-in resource center and emergency shelter for all youth aged 15 to 22 experiencing or at imminent risk of homelessness.

We provide essential basic need items, such as three hot meals a day, pantry food, showers, laundry, life-skills groups, housing and employment case management, dental and medical care assistance, as well as access to mental health services on-site. From 7:30 PM to 8:30 AM the YRC transitions into a 30-bed emergency shelter.

Hope Ignited

After aging out of the foster care system at 18, Maygan Martinez had an unexpected accident and found herself homeless. With the help of VOA Utah's Youth Resource Center, Maygan found the support and space to ignite her vision. Today, Maygan is a cofounder of the nonprofit 1999 Collective which connects youth aging out of the foster care system with resources.
